Club Overview
Willowfield Harriers is the 2nd oldest club in Northern Ireland after having been formed in 1898.
We are a friendly, successful and dynamic running club and you’re very welcome to join us. We have athletes at the very top of their game – competing at County and International Level, and many more who are completely new to running. With more than 160 members aged 9 to 80, you’ll always find someone at your level to train with.
Many of our members compete in road races during the Summer months and in the Cross Country League during the Winter months, there’s always a race coming up for anyone wanting to set themselves a goal to train for.
In 2021, Athletics Ireland awarded our Junior club the Top Juvenile Cross Country Club in Ireland.
Our club motto is Festina Lente which translates to ‘more Haste less Speed’
